Welcome to Q2, and welcome to the next chapter for Hololoot! March was an eventful month, with plenty of updates, press appearances, beta testing and, of course, the marketplace launch 🚀
In this article, we run through some of the highlights from the last month of Q1 and take a quick look forward to what we’re working on this month ⚡️
AR app beta testing
At the start of March we opened up the AR app for public beta testing. This was an exciting opportunity to get our product into as many hands as we possibly can and to give our amazing community a chance to try Hololoot before the rest of the world does.
Due to our development process, the beta is only available on iOS devices through TestFlight — you can read the full setup guide here.
To help encourage all our testers to fully explore the app, we launched some challenges and competitions. All testers can earn up to 3000 $PIXEL tokens, and two talented testers can take home 1,000 $HOL each in a content competition! Check out the guide above for all the details.

AR marketplace launch
We hit a big milestone at the end of March with the launch of our AR NFT marketplace 🛍 Hololooters with the beta app are now able to access AR NFT drops from our partners — starting with our very own Crypto Zoo collection.

We kicked things off with our first drop — the rare Etherhino 🦏
The first mint sold out quickly, and the second batch is selling fast, so make sure you head on over to grab one while you still can!

If you don’t have an iOS device, don’t stress. We’re working on support for other devices — check out our marketplace overview article here for a summary of our deployment roadmap.
The Marketplace is the first of many products to come, and we’re excited to roll out updates over the coming months!
Partnership with Blockchain Game Alliance
In March we announced our partnership with Blockchain Game Alliance (BGA) — one of the largest and most influential gaming networks in crypto. Their members include Ubisoft, AMD and Animoca among others, and we’re incredibly excited to be part of this amazing community.
New faces
In March, we formally introduced several new team members and even recapped the core team as it stands today.

New to the team were Michał Lorek, who joined us as our amazing QA Lead, and Filip Sobczak, who joined as our new BDM. We’re excited to have them both here with us as we grow, and their contributions to our team in such a short time have already been incredible 💖
In March we also promoted a familiar face — Daniel Bressoud. Daniel has served us as a mod for a long time, so his promotion only made sense as we searched for a new Community Manager. If you see Daniel in the chat, congratulate him on his appointment!

Looking forward to April
With the marketplace launched, work now turns to making it even better than it is right now. P2P transactions, more filters, user-generated content and more are all on the cards throughout the year, and we’re excited to share updates as they complete.
